In Newman, this meant walking alongside Sue May and Frances Bung on a personal and challenging journey.
Sue and Frances are Nyiyarparli people who were born in the Newman area, but their childhood and education were disrupted when they were taken from their home.
As part of the stolen generation, Sue and Frances had a deep yearning to return home. Through their directorship of NEMMS JV they have been able to achieve their goal of purchasing their own home in Newman, on Nyiyparli country.
