The installation of digital hubs, in four remote Western Desert communities is providing Martu people there access to services such as Centrelink, banking and licensing online. Funded by BHP and supported by Martu organisation Kanyirninpa Jukurrpa, this technology is enabling these communities to remain on Country, preserving their heritage and culture, and minimising the need to travel thousands of kilometres on unsealed desert roads for basic services.
