The five working groups established as part of the launch of Newman Futures in November have had their initial meetings to set out priorities on where to direct their energies.
The groups will meet every two months, with the next meetings due in February.
Newman Futures, initiated by BHP and the Shire of East Pilbara, recognises that we need to find new ways of working together as a community as innovation and technology change the nature of work.
There are still opportunities for Newman residents to get involved. Community members can join one of the working groups focused on pathway that interests them. Contact belinda@creatingcommunities.com.au for more information.
