Industry 4.0 Conversation Lunch

Leaders from business, education, Indigenous organisations, and innovation came together in Perth on 3 July to talk about industry 4.0 and the future of work and life in Newman.

Participants described the many and varied ways they are adopting the benefits of industry 4.0 for their life and work, whether that be caring for the land, optimising production or positioning students for jobs of the future.

Our participants agreed the future is bright and some of the keys to enabling a sustainable economy in Newman means including firm social value deliverables and commitments in tier one contracts.

Increased telecommunications connectivity in Newman, longevity of contracts, and understanding the long-term plans of Government and big business in the Pilbara were also on the table for discussion.

This will feed into our Newman Futures roadmap which is currently shaping up. Stay tuned for more details.
