The Martu Patrol employs Martu people to help keep children and young people in Newman safe each night.
By employing Martu people, who can speak in both Martu Wangka and English, the Martu Patrol is able to provide support to young people and their families.
Martu Patrol is run by the Newman Womens Shelter and was developed in collaboration with Martu leaders, Kanyirninpa Jukurrpa, WA Police and the Newman Feedback Group.
