An impact statement of the East Newman Activation Program has shown just how big an impact we have all made, together. A result of effective collaboration between 53 organisations has seen more than 180 activities delivered at Miners Promise Park since March 2021.
From move night to crafty afternoons, to obstacle courses and ear-checks, the program has ensured service providers are able to connect with local people in East Newman in a vibrant and safe space.
Since its inception the East Newman Activation Program has been coordinated by Creating Communities. In August, Creating Communities transitioned the program to the Shire of East Pilbara to ensure a locally led approach. Activations will now be delivered by the Shire of East Pilbara who will continue to collaborate with local service providers and organisations to ensure Miners Promise Park continues to be activated.
