If you noticed the odd robot whizzing around town during the school holidays, it was most likely an escapee from our EducationFutures’ Lab.
EducationFutures is an exciting Newman Futures initiative designed to prepare the community for the work force of the future. And the future was certainly looking bright at the Lab, with some engineering marvels created by the kids at the hugely popular free coding and programming courses held at the Newman Recreation Centre.
Steve and the team also brought along some next-level VR headsets and ‘Spheros’ for a couple of fun sessions at Train Park. Everyone, including the adults, had so much fun learning about robotics while trying out this fascinating new tech.
